Appointments and Office Hours

Except in the case of an emergency, we prefer to see patients by appointment. This allows us to reserve ample time for consultation and discussion.

Some appointments, however, may require additional time, and emergencies may cause unpredictable delays. We will attempt to notify you when schedule changes develop. Please feel free to contact the office before your appointment to inquire about schedule delays. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify the office.

Emergency Care

In the event of a severe emergency, go immediately to the emergency room of the closest hospital and ask them to contact your doctor.

If the situation is not that severe and arises while the office is closed, telephone (813) 875-8567 and the answering service will promptly forward your message. You will receive a response as quickly as possible.

If an urgent situation arises while the office is open, call the office and the doctor will be in the touch with you directly or through office personnel giving you instructions on where to meet for emergency care.

Payments

We make every effort to keep down the cost of your medical care. You can help by paying for treatment at the time of your visit. This refers to your insurance co-pay, usually a deductible at the beginning of the year and the portion not covered by Medicare. If no insurance applies, you will be asked to make financial arrangements with a member of our business staff.

Patient Information

As you know, there is a bond of confidentiality between patient and physician which may be described as a legal as well as a moral bond. For these reasons we have developed the following policy regarding the release of medical information. We will ask you to provide our office with a signed, written authorization allowing the release of your information to a specific individual or individuals. This procedure assures us that we are protecting your rights.

Prescriptions and Renewals

All prescriptions and authorizations for renewals should be requested during normal office hours.

No Smoking, Please

Because exposure to tobacco is hazardous to your health, we ask that you refrain from smoking while in this office.
